Key Races

Race 5 – 2017 Alabar SA Botra 2YO Fillies Golden Nursery Final – The first of the feature races is worth $20,000 and is a field full of newcomers. Tell Me Why made her debut last start and come away with the win. If she repeats that effort here she could be too good. Renesmae ran third in her debut race last start, finishing 7 lengths behind the winner Tell Me Why. She has improvement in her and will need to produce it here. Capable of a win. The rest of the field has had between 0 and 2 races without a feature finish yet. All are very evenly matched which will make the battle for third place a hot one.

Betting: Tell Me Why $2.10; Renesmae $2.40; Hilltopsomewhere $7.00; Paris Scene $7.50; Chevre $18.00; Date Night $26.00.

Race 7 – 2017 HRSA SA Botra 2YO Colts & Geldings Golden Nursery Final – The second of the feature events which will also see $20,000 on offer. Don’t Tell William is the short priced favourite after a strong win last start. He’s had 6 of his 7 starts at this track and over this trip. He’s been improving in his last two races and if that continues, he’ll be hard to stop in this. The Fifth Ace has run second in all of his last 3 races and in 4 of his last 5. Will be in the mix. Bulletproof Boy has been consistent in his 4 runs to date, picking up 2 wins. Could challenge.

Betting: Don’t Tell William $1.70; The Fifth Ace $3.10; Bulletproof Boy $5.50; Clarenden Valour $8.00; Dashes Past $13.00.
