Race 5 – Swear At Spendthrift Australia VOBIS Sires – This will be the main event on a day full of feature races, however this is the richest, paying a total of $300,000 in prize money. This race will be full of inexperienced horses which will ensure that a tight, entertaining race will be run with the difficulty of picking a winner quite high. Je Suis Tycoon will start as the favourite after going agonisingly close to winning her debut race last start, running second by a nose at Bendigo three weeks ago. Pure Scot had a good win on debut before taking a 4 month spell. She resumed 3 weeks ago and ran third in a tight race. She’s expected to be better here. Spiritual Girl won her first two races before finishing fourth, just off the pace, in her last start 2 weeks ago. She poses a genuine threat in these conditions.
Betting: Je Suis Tycoon $3.30; Pure Scot $5.50; Seized $6.00; Spiritual Girl $9.50; Danger Deal $11.00; Sun Quan $15.00; Kronos $18.00; Silverhawk $20.00; Riverina Romance $20.00.
