Race 5 – CKH Painting Final – While the prize money on offer here is just $2,360, the field is full of quality dogs with some in blistering form of late, which will be sure to produce a stunning race. Stirling Defence is the form horse here and is likely to be the favourite. His 4 career wins have come in his last 5 starts and has drawn a good box. Will be tough to beat here. Pepper Shannon has been strong in his last two, scoring a win and a last start second place. He loves a late dash at the line and will be in the mix here. Midnite Starling and Little Black Joe perform best when in front. If they get a good start, they could well threaten here. One Plus Two has a great record at this track over this trip and is set to be the biggest threat. Manifold rates well here under suitable conditions and is a strong place chance.
