Key Race

Race 8 – RQ Young Guns Final – This main event race will see a tidy $5,000 in prize money up for grabs. Bimbadgen Man will be the short priced favourite here after having had a solid January followed by a pair of solid wins in February leading into this race. He’s featured in 22 of his 29 starts, 14 of which have been wins. Given his current winning form, it’s not surprising to see him priced so strongly here. Expect another strong run in this. Licorice Shot comes into this race on the back of stunning February form, where he won all of his four races, three of which were by over 4 lengths. His last start win was over this distance, 120 metres more than all of his prior runs, however it saw him produce his widest winning margin yet. Expect another bold showing here. Magic Doug has featured in all of his 7 starts thus far, winning both runs prior to his last start third place. Will be in the mix.
Betting: Bimbadgen Man $1.50; Licorice Shot $3.40; Magic Doug $11.00; Willy Rocket $14.00; Rhonda’s Dougie $24.00; Dream Weaver $41.00; Illy Bale $51.00; Groovy Sweet $51.00.
