Race 8 – Joe Sewell Memorial 2017 Open Pace – This feature event will be worth a total of $12,540 in prize money. Just six trotters will make up the field for this feature race. Catcha Lefty is the form trotter in this feature event, coming into this race on the back of a tough last start win just a week ago on this track over a mile. He has performed admirably over this distance recently too, scoring back to back wins in August. He’ll be second up here and has won all four of his second up starts thus far. Hard to go past on current form. Glenferrie Hood had five straight second places before his poor last outing where he finished well last. He’s expected to bounce back to his previous form again here. All of the remaining trotters are very experienced, each having run at least 74 races and placing in near to or slightly better than half.
