Race 7 – 2017 Alcoa Cup MS Pace – This feature race will see a total of $10,000 in prize money on offer in what looks set to be a very tight field and hotly contested race. Rockin The Boys comes into this race as the form trotter, by quite a clear margin. She has finished in the top 2 places in all of her last 6 starts, 4 of which were wins, including the last 3 straight runs. She’s been running magnificently at the more prominent Gloucester Park, where even the step up in distance wasn’t enough to bring her back to the field. She will be the one to beat here. Bettor Not Bitter is a classy trotter who comes into this having picked up 3 wins and a pair of second places in his last 6 starts. He won his last start over a slightly longer distance by a clear 5 lengths, which makes him a genuine win chance in this. Abraxas Blues look to head the remainder of the field after 5 straight runs has seen him finish in the features or just outside. Deserves respect.
