The Cyril Flower Stakes and the Challenge Stakes will both run at Ascot this weekend as the feature events, both paying $100,000 in prize money.
Race 1 – Get The TabTouch Maiden (1000 metres)
Race 2 – Julian Sullivan Farewell Handicap (1000 metres)
Race 3 – Mumm Champagne Handicap (1200 metres)
Race 4 – Autumn Ascot Racing Carnival Handicap (1000 metres)
Race 5 – Pro Rata Club Membership Handicap (1600 metres)
Race 6 – Cyril Flowers Stakes (1200 metres)
Race 7 – Challenge Stakes (1500 metres)
Race 8 – Stone Motherless After The Last Handicap (1400 metres)
Race 6 – Cyril Flowers Stakes – The first of the main events has an evenly matched field lining up to compete. Coming Back is the favourite despite finishing off the pace in all of his last three races. He’s had 4 first up runs and managed to place in the top 3 in all of them. He’ll be first up here after a 2 month spell. Durendal has been placing strongly in his last three runs, finishing second in all of them, which have been at this track. He’ll be pushing hard at the back half of the race.

Race 7 – Challenge Stakes – The second of the feature races will see three horses battling hard for the win. Precious Memories will start as favourite thanks to hitting some very strong form of late and showing plenty to indicate more improvement is to come. She ran second at Ascot on Christmas Eve before opening the year with her maiden win at Pinjarra before running second at Ascot last start. Regal Moon is just two races old, winning on debut before finishing third last start here 2 weeks ago. Glimmer Girl had a steady start to her career before winning all of her last three races.
