Race 7 – Ranvet Millie Fox Stakes (1300 metres)
Race 8 – Parramatta Cup (1900 metres)
Race 9 – St Johns Park Bowling Club Handicap (1100 metres)
Race 6 – Schweppes Hobartville Stakes – An impressively even field will make up this Group 2 feature event, worth $400,000. Comin’ Through will start as favourite despite his last start being his worst in his four races to date, finishing fifth. It was his first hit out since a 3 month spell so he is expected to be better for the run here. Prized Icon will be resuming here after a 3 and a half month break. Is more at home on races over a mile but will be capable of a late surge which could get the job done here. Man From Uncle has had just four races, picking up a win on debut and in his last start earlier this month resuming after a 3 month spell. Distance suits him nicely. Acatour will be first up here too after a 3 and a half month rest. His only race here resulted in a win over 1500 metres. Inference will also be resuming here and has a strong record of placing, missing the top 3 once in 7 starts, when he finished a narrow fourth at Moonee Valley.
Betting: Comin’ Through $4.00; Prized Icon $4.80; Man From Uncle $5.50; Veladero $8.50; Acatour $8.50; Inference $9.00; Bryneich $9.00; Echo Effect $12.00; On The Spot $20.00.
