Race 7 – Elders Walcha Cup – The feature race of the meet will see a total of $35,000 in prize money on offer. Hammoon Dream will be the narrow favourite here, having produced a much improved performance in her last start, running third just over a length off the pace. Can be a slow starter but is a very strong finisher. Starting in gate 4 should see her in prime position for the whole race. Reward For Fashion has firmed slightly in betting and given she has been within 2 and a half lengths of a win in her last three starts, she will prove to be very tough to run down here. Bullet Kid, Try ‘N’ Run A Muck, Present Sense and even Loud Enough are in strong enough form to all present as genuine feature threats here.
Betting: Hammoon Dream $2.50; Reward For Fashion $2.70; Bullet Kid $9.00; Try ‘N’ Run A Muck $11.00; Leica’s Lass $12.00; Present Sense $14.00; Carry On Jake $17.00; Loud Enough $19.00; Free Billy $31.00; Lolly Shoppe $34.00; Explosive Scene $41.00; San Sabarto $51.00.
