Burnley have proven to be a tough outfit to defeat so far. They opened with an impressive 3-2 win over defending champions Chelsea before dropping their next game 1-0 to West Brom. They then had a draw with heavyweight side Tottenham, a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace. They then had successive draws against Liverpool and Huddersfield before beating Everton 1-0 and then locked 1 all with West Ham. They suffered their second loss of the year when they went down 3-0 to Manchester City, but bounced back with three straight wins against Newcastle, Southampton and Swansea. Burnley then lost to Arsenal and Leicester either side of a 2-1 win over Bournemouth. They then scored back to back 1-0 wins over Watford and Stoke before being held to a scoreless draw against Brighton. They then lost 3-0 to Spurs before securing back to back draws against Man U and Huddersfield.
Liverpool were the best attacking side in the Premier League for near the entire season before some indifferent late season form saw them drop off slightly. They started off this season with their attack firing when they had a 3 all draw with Watford. Their defence was much when they beat Crystal Palace 1-0. They flogged fellow heavyweights Arsenal 4-0 before copping a 5-0 hiding from Manchester City. They then had a 1 all draw with Burnley before beating Leicester City 3-2. In Round 7 they were held to a 1 all draw with Newcastle. They then had a scoreless draw with Man Utd before a heavy 4-1 loss to Spurs. They’ve since beaten the Terriers 3-0, Hammers 4-1 and Southampton 3-0. After a 1 all draw with Chelsea, they beat Stoke 3-0 and Brighton 5-1. The Reds then had draws with Evertom and West Brom before belting Bournemouth 4-0. After an entertaining 3 all draw with Arsenal, the Reds hammered Swansea 5-0 and then beat Leicester 2-1.
Liverpool attack v Burnley defence – Liverpool has scored an immense 30 goals more than Burnley this season, however Burnley has conceded 7 less goals.
Liverpool are in strong form now and are expected to romp home here.
