The last match in the fifth round of the English FA Cup competition will take place between top Premier League side Tottenham and third division outfit Rochdale.
Tottenham: Lloris; Dier, Vertonghenm, Alderweireld; Wanyama, Dembele, Walker-Peters, Davies; Eriksen, Alli, Kane.
Rochdale: Lillis; Rafferty, McNulty, McGahey, Delaney; Cannon, Kitching, Camps; Henderson, Humphrys, Done.
These sides have only met once, in their first FA clash this year which resulted in a 2 all draw after Rochdale bagged an equaliser right on full time, after Spurs had taken the lead just two minutes earlier.
Despite being one of the elite teams in England and in the Premier League for a few seasons now, the Spurs have struggled throughout this years FA Cup campaign. After strolling past AFC Wimbeldon 3-0, Tottenham were held to a 1 all draw with Newport. Spurs won the replay 2-0 in another unconvincing effort. They then squared off against Rochdale, conceding the first goal before equalizing in the second half and then taking the lead with two minutes remaining, before Rochdale equalized on the final whistle.
Rochdale have been really struggle in League football this year, scoring just 5 wins from their 30 games thus, placing them at the bottom of the table. However their FA Cup form has been tremendous, bagging 4 wins and a pair of draws so far. They opened with a 4-0 win over Bromley, a scoreline they repeated in their next clash, against Slough. They then pipped Doncaster 1-0 before Millwall held them to a 2 all draw. Rochdale hit back in the replay with a tough 1-0 victory. They then fought back late to score a remarkable 2 all draw with Spurs.
Rochdale’s defence – All across the park, Rochdale has to be at their defensive best if they are to deny Tottenham a win a second time.
Spurs are expected to win this in a cakewalk.
